DONATION OF FOOD PARCEL TO ATITO TOWN

ATITO DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (UK) DONATION OF FOOD PARCELS TO THE PEOPLE OF ATITO TOWN- (DEME) IN APRIL & NOVEMBER, 2020 

Atito Development Foundation on Thursday 30th April & 3rd November 2020, presented food parcels worth £1000 & £3000.00 respectively to the people of Atito and other neighbouring towns. This help program was designed to alleviate the plight of the vulnerable in the face of the devastating effects of the Coronavirus pandemic. 
Atito is situated on the western end of the Keta Lagoon, and located in the Anloga District Council, Volta Region Ghana. 
Prof. Reuben Tamakloe and Mr Matthew Agbolegbe presented the food parcel on behalf of the Foundation and had this to say, “Atito Development Foundation (UK) is an NGO group established to support the people of Atito in difficult times like this.  The Covid-19 pandemic outbreak gave us an opportunity to support the people of Atito back home, as their source of livelihood was in jeopardy. Individual food parcels consisted of maize, boxes of sardines and bottles of cooking oil, reusable face masks, and hand-sanitizers. 
Togbi Xemalordzo Dedu II, Dufia of Atito, received the items on behalf of the people of Atito. In his remarks, he was very thankful to Atito Development Foundation and prayed for more of such generous supports.  
A total of 261 household in and around Atito received the parcels. All age groups were very happy and grateful for the parcels. Food parcels and mask were also given to the staff of Atito Basic School after the Headmaster thanked the Foundation. He. however. asked for the support from Atito Development Foundation to help refurbish the library and computer which is currently in a poor state.  .
